RoboConnect Beta Launched March 16th, 2006

Our new RoboConnect service is now included with all hosting plans at no extra cost. RoboConnect is a utility you can use to send personalized email broadcasts to customers, friends and associates. Here are some of the highlights of this new service: Increase readership of your email broadcasts with personalized messages. With RoboConnect, you are no longer forced to send out email that says “Dear Friend…”, instead your email broadcasts can address your readers personally (e.g. “Dear Joe…” ). Grow your subscriber list. Invite your website visitors to subscribe directly from your website using our dynamic subscription form generator. Choose what information you want to gather (phone numbers, address, etc.) from your subscribers on your subscription form. You can even allow them to subscribe to more than one mailing list. For example, you can have a list called “Daily Specials” and another one called “Weekly Newsletter”. Customize the look of your broadcasts. Use our WYSIWYG editor to create professional or fun custom email templates. Support for multiple lists. There is no limit to the number of lists you can create. Allow subscribers to subscribe to multiple lists without creating duplicate subscriber records. Regardless of how many lists someone subscribes to, you manage each person’s contact information from a single contact record. Manage and filter large subscription databases. Quickly browse, search and filter large subscriber lists. Customize your broadcast criteria. Send broadcasts to a single list, a filtered list or even all lists. For example, you could set a filter to send your broadcast to just people who subscribed to a certain list in the past week. The possibilities are endless. Subscriber importing. Import your existing subscriber lists from any other email software that can export it’s contacts in CSV format. Regardless of how your previous email list software ordered it’s data, if it can output to CSV format, you will be able to import it. Blogging script now available November 22nd, 2005

It seems a website is no longer complete without a blog. So, we’ve added the WordPress blogging script to our list of scripts that can be installed with the Easy Script Installer in ServerTools. For those of you who haven’t heard of a blog, you’re looking at one right now. It’s a place where you can create a chronological record of happenings, thoughts, news or anything you can think of. For starters, we’re using this blogging script as a way to let our customers know what’s new with our service. Installing the script is easy… just select the “Easy Script Installer” option from the main ServerTools menu and few clicks later, you’ve got a blog! Welcome to our blog! November 15th, 2005

Today is an exciting day for us here at Action Web. No, not because we now have a blog. But, because we have several exciting announcements to make. We are going to be using this blog from this time forward to make announcements regarding enhancements to our service and let you know what we are working on. So, on with the announcements… New Hosting Plans Available Compared to our old plans, our new plans offer 10 times the disk space and more than double the bandwidth. This is made possible by new, beefier servers that we have recently put online. So, in order to benefit from the new plans, your site(s) will need to be moved to a new server. This will NOT happen automatically. If you are interested in being switched over, let us know, and we’ll be happy to take care of that for you. In the near future, you will be able to make the switch by logging into the Account Manager. New Account Manager The new Account Manager is accessible from our home page or any sub page on the left hand menu. You now use your email address to login so that you do not need to remember your account number. The next time you login, you’ll notice we’ve dressed it up a bit. We also have a created a new system that allows you to specify multiple contacts for your account, each with different roles/privileges. This feature is especially helpful for clients that want to give their webmasters access to their account (by making them a technical contact) without giving them access to their billing information. New ServerTools Control Panel Released To access the new version of SeverTools, login to the new Account Manager (see above). The new ServerTools features a snazzy new interface. The interface was re-created from the ground up, and will be the foundation upon which you will see many new and exciting features springing up from. New Managed Dedicated Server Offering In response to popular demand, we now offer managed dedicated servers powered by ServerTools. Check out the Managed Dedicated Server page to learn more about this new plan. If you are interested in a custom dedicated server, let us know, and we’ll give you a quote. New Action Web site Aside from the new look and feel of our site, we have also created a new ordering process that allows existing customers to order new virtual servers that are setup instantly.
